One of the ways Sanrio has brought their characters to life is through the creation of Sanrio theme parks. There are currently two Sanrio theme parks in Japan - Sanrio Puroland and Harmonyland.

Sanrio Puroland

Sanrio Puroland, also known as Hello Kitty Land, is located in Tama City, Tokyo. It opened in 1990 and has been attracting visitors from all over the world ever since. The park is divided into different zones, each with its own unique theme and activities. For example, the "Kitty's House" zone is dedicated to Hello Kitty, and visitors can explore her home and see her personal belongings. There's also a theater that shows various shows and performances featuring Sanrio characters. One of the most popular attractions at the park is the "Sanrio Character Boat Ride," which takes visitors on a journey through the world of Sanrio characters.

Sanrio Harmonyland

Harmonyland, located in Hiji Town, Oita Prefecture, is the second Sanrio theme park in Japan. It opened in 1991 and is situated on a vast 20-hectare site. Harmonyland is designed to be a place where visitors can relax and enjoy themselves, surrounded by nature. The park is divided into several zones, each with its own unique theme. For example, the "Fantasy World" zone is dedicated to Sanrio's most popular characters, such as Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Cinnamoroll. Visitors can enjoy various rides and attractions, such as the "Sanrio Character Boat Ride" and the "Ferris Wheel."

Both Sanrio Puroland and Harmonyland offer a unique and fun experience for visitors of all ages. Whether you're a fan of Sanrio characters or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, these theme parks are sure to bring a smile to your face.

The Keio Plaza Hotel Tama
