My love for kawaii started back in 1987 with a red Hello Kitty pencil case, kicking off a lifelong passion for Japanese pop culture.

Anime quickly became a huge part of my life and it inspired me to learn Japanese, start a manga library in high school, and fully dive into J-pop. Back then, being an anime fan wasn’t really “cool,” and it wasn’t always easy to find people who shared my interests.
